L is named at least in part for my favourite book when I was 10, "Roller Skates" by Ruth Sawyer. Read it if you don't know it, Rebecca...I still warmly recommend it! Also, as husband's family are inveterate abbreviators, we needed a name whose diminuitive would be bearable.
